What’s New on the IAGC Website?

In September 2007, the IAGC went “live” with the current website. Since then IAGC staff have been adding new features and new content. We thought it would be a good time to bring your attention to what’s new on the IAGC website – things that we hope make it more accessible and compelling to you – our members and primary users – as well as to others that visit the site.

The front page of the IAGC Website has taken on a new look over the past few months. Look now to the homepage for:

Registration information for upcoming events is routinely posted here – like upcoming social events, workshops, HSE Forums
A “Did You Know?” feature that displays various areas of the website regarding multiple topics and materials we have available (some Members Only)
Rotating logos of companies who support IAGC (core members are shown at no charge). Space is available for additional supporters. Get your logo seen on every page of IAGC.org
Current News with recent “hot” articles and a more complete list of Upcoming Events are on the homepage just below the main body content
Streamlined the navigation panel on the left of the page so that you can quickly find the topic, the issue that you are looking for

As for topics, issues, and information we:

Reformatted the Current Members page so that one can easily identify our Core members as well as more quickly find who is a member of IAGC.
Created a new web page for the Atlantic Programmatic EIS initiative begun by MMS. There you will find a brief discussion of the topic, documents published by the MMS, comments submitted by IAGC as well as links to certain pages on the MMS website pertaining to the Atlantic OCS.
Are routinely adding new entries on the HSE Alert page and new events/incidences to the Aide Memoire data base – resources that are particularly useful for HSE professionals.
Have posted the agenda, minutes, speaker bios, presentations, etc. from the past four (4) IAGC Annual Meetings.
Are routinely updating the IAGC Committee member listings to be sure representation is current and that membership status is accurate (e.g. principle, alternate, corresponding).

We plan to continue the evolution of the IAGC website to be a powerful tool for resources and industry information for you our members. Take a few minutes and look at the website and let us know what you think and send your comments and / or suggestions to Walt Rosenbusch or Tim Fransioli.
